Wild Writing Classes

What is Wild Writing?

It’s wild as in natural, free flowing, without artifice or ego. It’s a practice that helps unblock and illuminate. It is intimacy with strangers who become valued supporters. It is listening, writing and reading aloud. It is beautiful in its simplicity and wonderful in its impact.

Who can be a Wild Writer?

Wild Writing is for anyone who is on their journey - to be a better thinker, writer, artist, creator of any sort. A better leader, team player, listener, supporter. Wild Writing is for anyone who believes that self-awareness is the key to success in life.

How does it work?

We meet online or in person in small groups for an hour or more. We bring nothing but an openness to listen and respond. We use poetry as a prompt and then we write for 10-15 minutes, pen never leaving the page. We push down the inner-critic and we welcome what arises. We listen graciously to what each person has written. We never judge, but we always support.

“This was a truly inspirational and unique writing experience. The programme was meticulously planned by Lorna to provide a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment to support participants to write from the soul, free of self-criticism and ego. I am a far more confident writer as a result and can’t recommend it highly enough both for people new to writing and more experienced writers too.”

Anna

“This has been a transformative experience for my confidence. I know I can step out of my comfort zone into a very different environment and succeed.”

Farah

“Wild Writing gives me the time and space to write. Despite timed writing the pace was such an antidote to my busy and rushed life.”

Hardeep

“Wild Writing is a lovely way to pause and reflect. I don’t see myself as a creative person and I was surprised how the poems stimulated my thoughts. Lorna’s leadership of the sessions was excellent. She set a very supportive tone, encouraging everyone in the group to participate.”

Jacqui

“Wild Writing brought my hidden feelings out easily.”

Sharon

“I was really tickled at how the Wild Writing process opened up something quite new…a way for me to develop writing more personal, emotive pieces.”

Aileen

“Embrace the wild words flowing through your story, for they hold the key to your evolution. Dance with the rhythm of your narrative as it adapts to your experiences. Trust that you can share your story with others, as they share theirs with you.”
