Maps
I love maps, you can see where you’ve been.
You can plan where you’re going.
You can have virtual adventures without taking a step.
Wouldn’t it be lovely, or maybe not,
to have your life all mapped out.
The only thing that is certain is uncertainty.
Exploration, curiosity, learning.
Don’t let your world get smaller, even
if you stay in the same physical space.
Knock down those barricades and boundaries.
Let sunlight and goodness in.
shadows, of course, will be created.
Water, mountains, woods, forests.
Roads to follow, paths to be taken, and
routes that will be blocked or perilous.
Unfurl the future, expand your horizons.
Take risks, but don’t rush – rest.
Find contentment in the present.
